My Tiger Woods 2008 Game
I recently played the best round of golf in my life at the Westchester Country Club. It was an incredible three under par 69 on the card, although I did play from the White forward tees, and conditions were ideal. I hit drive after drive over three hundred yards, and quite a few people were on the course applauding, yelling and cheering for my good shots! I've never been so relaxed during a round of golf, and it was fantastic to cruise through eighteen holes in less than two hours. There were no concerns about getting a sun burn or suffering an insect bite. It was also the cheapest round of golf I've ever played, and there were no traffic problems or concerns to deal with while getting to the course. Unlike other rounds of golf, I'm pretty sure I'll shoot another sub par round in the near future, and it could well be at Pebble Beach where I plan to play next.
All of this thanks to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008 video golf game for the PlayStation 3! Now I've heard some discussion that this latest version of the Electronic Arts Tiger Woods golf game isn't much improved over the 2007 version, but for my money this game absolutely rocks. There are so many skill levels, challenges, features, multiple pro players, and elite golf courses embedded in this game - it can keep you engrossed for hours. If you're fortunate enough to have a high definition video display, then you'll experience graphics and visuals that are amazingly life like. You can also add a personal touch, by creating a profile golfer that looks eerily like you. This is done with the graphical editing tools inside the game, and includes an option to incorporate your own digital head shot photo. If you prefer to emulate the actual golf swing motion, there is also a version of this game for the Wii. The Graphics for the Wii aren't nearly as crisp, but the game play is great, and making a swing motion with the Wii wireless controller can be more enjoyable than using a joystick. Of course all of these console versions have been developed with, and endorsed by the man himself - Tiger Woods, and this must be a very lucrative franchise for him. If your own profile golfer isn't performing in the game, then you can always put Tiger through the paces. He is the best player after all.
